    May 21, 1864 marks the end of a ruthless war and the continuance of a people’s tragedy and suffering. Every year, the Circassian diaspora that live in more 50 countries around the world and make up 90% of the Circassian population, along with their fellow Circassians who remained in their homeland, commemorate this day that is attributed to the memory of the victims of Circassia and the Caucasus, praying for the souls that were lost with mercy and eternal rest, the souls of those who fought in the defense of their homeland with personal weapons against an equipped army of criminals and mercenaries. The commemoration draws attention to one of the most heinous massacres in modern history against the entire Circassian nation, drawing regional and international media and social networks attention, to remind the world conscience and human rights organizations of the forgotten crimes and tragedies. This also refers to the facts about the Circassians and their expropriated rights, which have not yet been recovered, in accordance with binding international laws.
